Radio play In this 8.8. C. play by Alan Plater, the title is derived from the classic gag “Do you come here often?. . . Only in the mating season.” Stan Hargreaves spends his days pushing an apathetic pen behind the counter of the Labour Exchange. Shy and lonely, he longs for a girlfriend but always fails to meet one. The focal point of the story is the local dance hall. National, 3.07 p.m.
