Netballers told late of Anzac Day ban
The Canterbury Netball Association w’as not informed until Thursday evening that it could not play competition games on the morning of Anzac Day, said Miss Danae Goosman, a Christchurch City Council recreation officer, yesterday. Originally the council gave the association permission to play morning games in a letter dated February 25.
A letter has been received by “The Press”, under the name of the secretary of the association, Lyn Miles, who is disturbed about radio and television reports on Friday: According to the letter “the statements said that a
