Loans for under-40s
People under the age of 40, who are required to live in accommodation provided by their employers, can now apply for- Housing Corporation loans, without having to i live in the house they intend to buy. i Age limits and restrictions on single people have been i lifted from a sc..erne which . is available for people who i are required to live in accommodation provided by ’ their employers. in “The Press” yesterday incorrectly reported that people /over the age of 40 would be included in the scheme, said the deputy manager of the Housing Corporation in Christchurch (Mr B. F. Atkins) yesterday. The report yesterday also said that the occupation requirement attached to > the home ownership saving scheme would also be abolished. Mr Atkins said that this would apply only to those people who had homeownership accounts, and who were living in accommodation provided by their employers.
