Maui received, the magic jawbone. The simple texts in large print are superimposed on f u 11-p ag e colourful illustrations throughout the book. The expressive pictures capture the spirit of Maori folk lore. The book will provide a much-needed introduction to Maori legends for five and 'six-year-olds, and leave them waiting for more.
