Burglary foiled
A jogger in South Hagley Park foiled a burglary at the Hagley Sports Centre shortly before midnight last night. The runner heard the sound of breaking glass and immediately called the police. A youth, aged 18, was caught getting on to • motor-cycle outside the centre. He was holding cigarettes and a small quantity of cash, The youth was cut about the hands. The police have commended the jogger for his quick response.
