West Coast beaten
PA Greymouth Combined Services won the opening match of its four-match tour of the Seddon Shield districts when it defeated West Coast, 9-6, at Nimmo Park, Greymouth, yesterday. The full-back, Richard Wixon, put the Services
ahead with a penalty late in the first half but Tony Kissick squared the score with a dropped goal. West Coast took the lead early in the second spell with a Kissick penalty but Wixon piloted over two penalties in the final 10 minutes to clinch the game, played in heavy conditions.
