Nurses membership to be compulsory?
PA Auckland The Nurses’ Association will try again for compulsory. membership. way would “cut right across National Party policy.” She said previous efforts had been thwarted because “the political climate just didn’t suit. it.” She felt it was improbable that the policy- would be implemented. The delegate for the North Shore branch, Mrs Lea Lysaght, said apathy among nurses was "appalling.” • With a compulsory membership, the "■ association could . afford professional services, rather -than falling back on “willing horses,” she said.
