Oxford is enjoying a strong revival of the traditionally popular Paddy’s Market. The sections at the quarterly stock sale and Paddy’s Market are: Furniture, poultry' and dogs; sheep, cattle and machinery; black sheep, goats and horses; and rabbits. Rabbits were auctioned for the first time at the sale last Friday. A full range of New Zealand Large Whites were offered for breeding. The prices for does ranging from $2OO to $3OO each. (The picture at right shows a pure New Zealand White with her litter.) A full range of Angora feral goats caught from the wild also featured at the sale. Approximately 90 per cent of the sheep for sale were driven by foot to cut transport costs. Four hundred and eighty wether lambs up for auction w'ere

expected to realise approximately $l5 each. The next quarterly stock sale and Paddy’s Market will be held in Oxford on June 13. Approximately 9000 people attended the June sale last year.
