Some of the 100 people who last evening demonstrated outside the Theatre Royal in Gloucester Street at the opening night of •the stage show, “Confessions of a Window Cleaner.”
The demonstrators, from the New Life Centre and other church groups, sang and waved placards as theatre-goers arrived for the show at 8 p.m. A spokesman for the protesters, Mr M. Palmer, said the demonstration was against the down-
grading of womanhood and against deviant sex acts which he asserted were glorified in the show. He said that such behaviour should not be tolerated, because it would “open the floodgates for filth in the city.”
