Grape juice recalled

PA Hamilton Glenvale Vineyards is recalling all 750 ml champagne bottles of pink sparkling grape juice because of possible fermentation. The general manager (Mr R. Bird) declined to comment on how the fermentation occurred or how many bottles were affected. However, advertisements :had been placed in newspapers throughout New Zealand advising the public of the situation, he said. The advertisement said a product fault resulted in fermentation in some bottles. It said this could “eventually lead to an explosive situation” and recommended the bottles should not be handled. ‘ “We want to let the public know, but we don’t want to make an issue of it,” Mr Bird said.
