Darfield’s new church is an example of the high level of community involvement which abounds in Malvern County. It is inter-denominational and holds separate services for Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist congregations as well as combined servies for the community. It was built largely by voluntary labour. The whole district co-operated in fund-raising activities. The design of the church incorporates features from each of the religions it represents, and provides facilities for cultural exhibitions and recitals.
