Shooting venue changed
The venue for this year’s national I.S.U. trap shooting 5 championships has been.v switched from Christchurch c to Dunedin. P A decision to change the venue was made late last v week, when it was realised < that the traps, which are r being brought out from p overseas, will probably not be ready in time for the j championships, which will ( be held next month. I
The I.S.U. (International Shooting Union) event involves skeet and trench competition and is an Olympic sport. However, Christchurch will not miss out altogether on top-class shooting as the national standard trap championship will be held at the Yaldhurst range late in March. Earlier that month, the South Pacific regional championships will also be held in Christchurch.
