Wool freight rates up

NZPA London New Zealand wool producers will pay more to get their product to Europe fiom October. Freight rates for wool and sheep skins will rise 1.5 per cent from October 1, and increases in the two succeeding seasons of 3 per cent and 5 per cent have also been agreed

The new rates were announced jointly by Mr J. Clarke, chairman of the Woo' Board, and the New Zealand-European Shipping Association.

Service arrangements for thr container trade have also been discussed in London.
