Bob Charles lies fourth
NZPA-Reuter Cardiff Bob Charles returned a 69 to put him in fourth position after three rounds of the Welsh Open golf championship near Cardiff yesterday. Charles, the only overseas player among the leaders, returned a 69 for the second day running and is bracketed with two Britons
on 211 — three shots behind the leader, Mark James. James, 11 shots behind the leaders after 27 holes, burst through the field to record his second 68 in a row and take the lead. A fellow Briton, Mike Miller, whose pattern of play had followed a similar course, returned a 69 yesterday and stands one stroke behind.
