Public Notices MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL ANNUAL ESTIMATES AND NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 121 of the Local Government Act (No. 3) 1977, public notice is hereby given that the Malvern County Council has approved estimates of income and expenditure for the period commencing April 1, 1979. and ending on March 31, 1980. A copy of the approved estimates is available lor public inspection at the council office during normal office hours. Pursuant to Section 52 of the Rating Act 1967, notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Malvern County Council at its Ordinary Meeting to be held at 9.30 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 1979. in the council chambers, Darfield. to make and levj 7 the following rates and charges:— General Rates (excluding Darfield Community): That, under the provisions of Secton 136 of the Local Government Act 1974, a General Rate of .533 c in the $ be levied on all rateable property in the County (excluding Darfield Community). Community General Rate: That linger the provisions of Section 139 of the Local Government Act 1974, a Community General Rate of .56c in the $ be levied on all rateable property in the Darfield Community. Hororata River Rate: That under the provisions of Section 143 of* the Local Government Act. 1974, a separate rate of 0.31 c in the $ be levied on all rateable property in the Hororata River Rating Area. Wairiri Valley Drainage: That, under the provisions of Section 154 of the Local Government Act 1974, the foilowing rate shall be levied in the Wairiri Valley Drainage District:— Class Rate Per Ha A .. .. sl-19.356c B .. .. $O-78.21 e C .. .. $O-70.43c D .. .. SO-66.72c E .. $O-61-99c F .. $O-59.69c Darfield Water Supply: That, under the provisions of the Darfield Water Supply By-laws, the following charges shall be levied:— (a) Ordinary charge $37.00 (b) Half charge .. $18.50 (c) Business Premises $42.00 (d) Special Consumers (Metred supply) .. 542.00 (e) Darfield Swimming Baths .. $120.00 Arthur’s Pass Water Supply: That, under the provisions of Section 158 of the Local Government Act 1974, a charge of $35.00 shall be levied for each connection to the Arthur's Pass Water Supply. Kirwee Water Supply: That, under the provisions of Secton 172 of the Local Government Act 1974. a Special Works rate of $lOO.OO be levied on all households in Kirwee towards the construction of the Kirwee water supply. Malvern Hills Water Supply: That, under the provisions of Section 158 of the Local Government Act. 1974, a charge of 537.00 per unit of water be levied in the Malvern Hills Water Supply Area. Household Refuse Collections: That, under the provisions of Section 163 of the Local Government Act 1974, a refuse collection charge of $lO shall be ’evied on all dwellings and $2O on all business premises in the townships of Kirwee. Sheffield, Waddington, Springfield, Coalgate. Glentunnel and Hororata . North Canterbury Catchment Board Rates: Such rates and charges as directed by the North Canterburv Catchment Board. That all the foregoing rates and charges be due and payable in one sum on 22nd August 1979. The whole of the foregoing rates and charges to be for the period commencing on April 1. 1979 and ending on March 31, 1980. and shall be due and payable in one sum on the twenty-second <22nd) day of August. 1979, at the office of the Malvern County Council. 1 South Terrace, Darfield. where the Valuation Rolls and rating records are open for inspection.
