Boston blazes arson
NZPA-Reuter Boston Fire officials have attributed to arson a number of ! fires that began within 90 minutes at two of Boston’s [most fashionable hotels. Nearly 2000 dazed guests fled into the night on Thursday. The police say at least 67 persons were injured, mostly from smoke inhalation. At least three were burned seriously, and at least two heart attacks were reported. The Boston Fire Commis-
sioner (Mr George Paul) told reporters that the fires at the Chic Copley Plaza and the Sheraton Boston Hotel had been deliberately set, but he declined to say whether they were linked. Both fires were under control in about two hours. More than 50 guests at the Copley were rescued with ladders. About 300 others made their way down stairwells in the six-storey structure.
A fire department spokesman said six fires had been set in separate parts of the Copley, and in the Sheraton, four separate fires had'been set.
