Wall Street last week
Share prices declined on Wall Street last week, in moderately active trading. The Dow Jones industrial index lost 12.30 points during the week.
Analysts said the market was depressed by concern about the energy outlook resulting from the political upheaval in Iran. A - “Wall Street Journal” article said strategies being pursued by Saudi Arabia also pointed toward a further tightening of world oil supplies. However, prices advanced moderately on Thursday and Friday — stimulated by. technical factors, and overcoming news of a sharp rise in wholesale prices last month.
