Bank staff go back
Staff of the Australia and New Zealand Bank in Christchurch met yesterday and decided to return to work, after their one-day strike over the bank’s staff loans policy. Talks between the parties to the dispute will begin today, and according to the president of the Bank Officers Union (Mr J. D. Matheson) settlement is likely by tomorrow. Staff at Invercargill, Gore, and Greymouth also returned to work yesterday.
