Water main breaks

Some Christchurch residents near the Ferry Road roundabout were without domestic water for a short time yesterday, when a 20cm water main broke between Dyers Road and the roundabout. Water was turned off at 4.55 p.m., and on again at

6,12 p.m. The fault may have been caused when a pipe joint broke down. Consumers between the Dyers Road - Bamford Street area and the Christchurch City Council works yard in Ferry Road were without water while the break was i repaired.
