Buried treasure
PA Timaru A Twizel constructionworker, Paul Flint, has received a $7OOO windfall. He found the money when he was straightening a fence post at his Twizel home on January 15 this year, and promptly handed it to the police. Superintendant E. C. Welsh, of the Timaru police, said yesterday the police had decided to release the money to Mr Flint. There has been no other claimant for the $7OOO. Mr Flint unearthed the money in a tin. similar to a tea’ caddy and wrapped in two plastic bags. It was in used bank notes.
