During the first leg he | lost the lead for 10 laps (after a refuelling stop (Baker, who managed to cover the 147.5 km without refuelling, went to the front and stayed there until Roberts regained the lead in th 4 final lap Roberts’s success takes him to second place in the world championship table with 27 points. 15 fewer than Cecotto. Baker, the reigning champion, is in third position with 22 points. | In the second leg Roberts ■ lost his lead to an Australian, Gregg Hansford, but Hansford crashed his KawaIsaki and the lead went back Ito Roberts.
