N.Z. MARKET MARKS TIME
The New Zealand sharemarket continued to mark time in mixed, active trading yesterday. Christchurch Gas fell 5c on its loss and not paying a dividend, and Sanford eased by a similar amount after announcing only a “marginal” profit increase in the half year. The ordinary shares of Kempthorne Prosser continued to rise, gaining a further 2c to 310 c.
