Woodend house fire
Fire gutted two attic rooms of a weatherboard house at Woodend Road, Woodend, last evening. A downstairs room suffered minor fire and water damage when the fire burnt through the floor separating the two storeys. The house was unoccupied. The cause of the fire is not known.
Two fire engines from Rangiora and one from Woodend put out the blaze.
