Big crowds at beaches
Christchurch beaches i were favoured with warm i weather, low surf, and little wind yesterday. Surf life-saving clubs good conditions at the Swimming pools in ; Christchurch also reported i good patronage, the Centennial Pool admitting 1100 to make it one of the best davs this season. The five pools reported ■ no difficulties. Most said patronage was better than at this time last year.
