Czar’s Blood star trialist at Awapuni

Special Correspondent Palmerston North Czar’s Blood took the honours in training at Awapurfi yesterday morning with a fast sprint in preparation for the West Derby Stud Stakes at Otaki. Czar’s Blood was most impressive in running second in his debut at Hastings last week. Awapuni’s other representative in the race is Mr Music and he also took the eye with a smart gallop. Chandos was another to go well. Most of the work took . place on the course proper, the ground being the best for a long time.

Czar’s Blood on the outer was shading Moon Shadow at the end of 600 m in 37s and Czar’s Blood could not have been more impressive.
