Sailor on her way
NZPA London The 2S-year-old Rotorua woman, Naomi James, who is trying to become the first woman to sail solo non-stop around the world, is now off the coast of Portugal, about 1000 km (620 miles) from England. Mrs James is sailing a 16.15 m 10 tonne yacht called the Express Crusader. Her sponsor, London’s "Daily Express” newspaper said she was complaining about the heat in her most recent radio message. “It’s so hot I scarcely go on deck all day and there is so little wind I’m just ambling along,” Mrs James said.
