Big battle after blast
NZPA-Reuter Manila Troops, believed to number several thousand, were reported yesterday to be fighting a big battle with a rebel band blamed for planting a land-mine that killed 24 persons on the fat outhern island of Basilar last week-end.
Military sources said the troops, in their biggest operation since a cease-fire was reached with Muslim rebels nine months ago, hat caught up with the rebe group in the rugged Majayjay Mountains.
