'Big ball' for N.Z.
PA Auckland The United States-sized golf ball will be compulsory in all New Zealand professional golf events this summer, except the open. New Zealand thus follows the general overseas policy, where professionals always use the big ball. The decision, announced in Auckland will be applauded by the New Zealand touring professionals, who have been pressing for the compulsory use of the big ball since early 1975.
