Testing Times now owned by Holmes
P.A Auckland 1 Testing Times has been! bought outright by the Cambridge trainer. Kevin Holmes.; Holmes, who had raced the champion two-year-old in partnership with a Rotorua businessman. Mr C. C. Johnson, completed a deal to buy the half share owned by Mr Johnson yesterday. The sale was for “quite a substantial sum.” Holmes ad- ■ mined, and includes the handing over of 50 acres of; land which Holmes had at Kaipaki, near Ohaupo, and several vehicles. , The s'ale was negotiated amicable and Holme* and his local training partner. Colin Butler, will continue to train hor-.es for Mr Johnson. Holmes will leave today; with his family to return to ; Pennsylvania, where he has a team of horses. Testing Times will resume; racing in New York soon and; Is being aimed for a rich two-' J ear-old series in November.!
