Fast 100m by woman
* Bev Peterson demonstrated i good form to record 12sec for . 100 m in a special pre-season track and field meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park yesterday. She was the only woman com- , petitor in the meeting, reduced to sprint events because of wet conditions. She competed in the | men’s events, also recording 7.&sec in two runs over 60m. The men’s 100 m was won by J her younger brother, Evan, in llsec. He also won both men’s) 60m races — the first in 7.3 sec and the second in 7.4se<-. The second pre-season meeting. arranged to help athletes seek selection for the Pacific Conference Games in December, will now be held between 10 and 12 a.m. next Saturday instead of the afternoon as original] v planned. This Is to avoid a clash with the Canterbury' road championships. 1
