Drainage Bd contracts
The Christchurch Drainage Board has let four contracts worth a total of almost $lOO,OOO. In all, 31 tenders were received for the contracts. The board accepted a tender of $11,330 from B. H. Gurdler to install air gap separators at flush tanks, section nine. This tender was the lowest of four. Combe and Hamilton won the contract for the Halswell Junction Road sewer, north of Shands Road. Its tender of $30,737 was the lowest of 12. Greenhalgh Contractors, Ltd, won the contract for Falsgrave Street stormwater piping, with a tender of $32,271, the lowest of six.
Dave Gutry Construction, Ltd, was awarded the contract for Maces Road stormwater piping to Bromley Road, with a tender 'of $22,443, the lowest of nine.
