j A record profit of $10,252: ,is shown in the accounts to be presented at the annual meeting of the Timaru Trotting Club on September 1. A profit of $6341 was shown! i for the previous year. ' Totalisator turnover for) | the year was $2,074,010.50,! made up of $676,835 oncourse and $1,397,175.50,: which are new records for the club, says the report of the president (Mr J. G. Phil-j lips). The on-course turnover of $164,505 on January 15 was a record for the course. Stakes reached a record total of $82,100, an increase of $17,100. “As a result of this increase we will once again be entitled to special subsidies from the Racing Authority j and these will be reflected; in the stakes schedule for the new season,” says Mr! Phillips.
