B.O.S. recovers
PA Wellington British Office Supplies (N.Z.), Ltd, has recovered from many of the problems which dogged the company’s performance in the last financial year, said the chairman j (Mr E. G. McGee) at the annual meeting. The difficulties involved in shifting the company’s manufacturing activities to a new factory at Petone had largely! been overcome. Sales for the first part of the current year are up 10 per cent and the company is “looking forward to some jgood results in the coming jyear,” Mr McGee said.
The company had experienced production delays in ( the last year because of the late delivery and installation of the paint oven. However, the oven had since been satisfactorily installed and the factory was running well. Mr McGee said the company expected a boost during the year from a comparatively new division — that of office landscaping using the latest free-standing screen partitioning. As reported, group net profit fell 33 per cent to a five-year earnings low of $185,920, in the year to! March 31.
