ELVIS PRESLEY Sir, I was shocked and disgusted to watch part of the programme on TVI on Elvis Presley. To hear the criticism of Elvis when he was not even buried yet ... Elvis was a terric person. Why bring up past history of him, and criticise him? He did no-one any harm and was sick for several years before he died. Believe me, I know how hard it must have been for Elvis to be brave and carry on. I have the same illness. God forgives our mistakes, but people never let them be forgot* ten.— ELVIS FAN FOREVER. ‘HELLAW GOODBYE’* Sir, I am appalled at the comments of your two correspondents, Messrs McArthur and de Brockert, with respect to the mar-
vellous programme “HelloGoodbye.” They have obviously misinterpreted the most exciting and witty spoof attempted by local television. Who could doubt that there is anything more amusing than Craig Scott attempting to sing like Mick Jagger? With a "carte blanche” approach along these lines, TV I has managed to surpass Fred Dagg’s subtle humour. — T. D. SUCKLING.
