Man killed in collision
A Christchurch man was killed when the car he was driving was in head-on collision with a bus on State Highway 1 north of Waimate at 5.30 p.m. yesterday. He was Hongi Roderick Paul, aged 25, of 34 Eversleigh Street, St Albans. I Four other passengers in •the north-bound car were
taken to the Timaru Hespi tai. while three of the 33 persons on board the bus were treated by a Waimate doctor for minor injuries. The bus was carrying a soccer team home to Dunedin from Christchurch It narrowly missed a power pole and crashed ovei a 12ft bank after the colelision. but remained on ns wheels.
