Santa fails to turn up
Father Christmas failed : to visit North New Brighton as scheduled last evening, because he did not want to get wet. His annual visit to the suburb — arranged by the local residents’ association — was cancelled because of poor weather. Children will have a second chance to see him when he tours the 10 stops on his route at 7 p.m. tomorrow'. Bags of sweets will be distributed, and he will- lead children in singing carols. —tU, ■■■„■ , ■
