Aust. market weakened
After a firm opening trend, some Australian shares began losing ground yesterday afternoon. B. closed unchanged at 828 c, but 1.C.1., Comalco, the Wales, and Tooth fell back. C. had a one cent fall to 155 c, despite the profit up- ' turn. T.N.T., Myers, Amatil, and Lend Lease showed slight . improvements. C.S.R., Pioneer Sugar found lower levels. Hooker was a bright spot,; gaining 6c at 110 c, Pancontinental fell 80c to 1 1450 c after the directors: (granted 100,000 options to: 'employees.
,i A.A.R., Ocean Resources,: . B.H. South, North B.H , Qld . Mines, Kathleen, and W.M.C. were lower. A.M. and S. stood out with : a 15c rise to 255 c, and Thiess > advanced 10c to 258 c. Utah recovered, and PekoWallsend, and Hamersley ' were also firmer. Renison registered a 20c drop at 650 c.
