Jungle remark not discussed

The management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union was in no mood last evening to discuss the remark made last week by one of its members, Mr B. J. Drake, that the sooner the black people of Africa went back to the jungle the betler. A letter was received from the Marist club dissociating itself from the remark and describing it as not only ill-mannered, hut a discredit to rugby.
