'Defend life' for peace
| NZPA-Reuter Vatican City Pope Paul has chosen the 'slogan "If you want peace, defend life” as the theme for the Roman Catholic World Day of Peace on January 1, 11977, the Vatican says. The | Day of Peace will ~be the tenth celebrated by the Roman Catholic Church since Pope Paul initiated the custom on New’ Year’s Dav 1967. The Vatican said the Pope's message would deal with three “fundamental aggressions” against human life: .war. abortion and hunger.
