the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, were: Smoke: 43, medium. Sulphur dioxide: 39, low. Nitrogen oxides: 98, low. Inner suburban readings for the same period were: Smoke: 65. medium. Sulphur dioxide: 32, iow. Nitrogen oxides: 60, low. Readings are in micrograms per cubic metre. Levels are: Sulphur dioxide: less than 60, low; more than 200 high. Smoke: less than 40, low; more than 120, high. Nitrogen oxides: les* than 100, low; more than 250, high.
