Printers demand action

PA Wellington Wellington printers on Monday called for industrial action if no headway is made in wage talks next week.

The meeting was one of several being held throughout the country to hear reports on talks for a new award for printers. The Wellington meeting, and a similar one in Hutt Valley in the afternoon, were critical of the Government’s wage regulations, according to the secretary of the Printers’ Union (Mr G. C. Ditchfield).

Talks between the printers and their employers will resume in Wellington on Mondays
