Denial by Lincoln students

The president of the Lincoln College Students’ Association (Mr R. M. Bucknall) has denied a report in “The Press” yesterday about the conduct of third-year students during a recent field trip. “The Press” reported that on their way home from Dunedin the students had been drinking and some urinated from the bus windows. Mr Bucknall conceded that the students had been drinking, but denied that any urinated from the bus windows. “This is entirely untrue,” he said. “Such conduct was impossible because the windows could not be opened.” Mr Bucknall said it was the issue of drinking which had led to the suspension of the students.
