Med. Supplies profit 12.7% higher
The group net profit of Medical Supplies N.Z., Ltd, — subject to audit verification and before taxation — increased 12.7 per ceat to $630,397 in the year to March 31, the directors say in a preliminary report. It was achieved on 26.2 per cent higher sales. This growth pattern is continuing into the current trading year. The preliminary profit includes provision for an exchange loss of $19,967 on a repayment of overseas borrowing, they say. The directors propose to recommend to shareholders an unchanged final dividend of 7.5 per cent, making a total o' 12.5 per cent for the year — payable, as was the interim dividend, from realised capital profits and thus free of tax in shareholders hands. It will be paid on September 24, ex dividend September 15.
