Court Jester beaten

(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. Court Jester, the Australian trotter who won 17 consecutive races against trotters, broke his winning run on Monday when he was beaten by two pacers. In his first run against pacers, Court Jester was third in an open race at Cranbourne, beaten by a nose, and one and a half metres. Court Jester lost about 40m when he broke badly on the first bend, after making up his 20m handicap. Tact Command won the race after surviving a protest from the second placegetter. Blue Echo.
