Bridal balloon

Charles Lipman, who reasons like a Roman emperor when it comes to his daught e r s ’ weddings, sent offspring No. 4 soaring towards marital bliss aboard a hot air balloon. United Press International reported. Mr Lipman, a manufacturer of industrial glues, rented the lake at the Country Club of Miami several years ago for a dual wedding ceremony for his two eldest daughters. The climax of the festivities was a procession of bridal barges across the moonlit waters. For his third daughter, Mr Lipman rented a golf course and the bride and groom were borne off by a train of golf carts. Last Saturday, Susan Lipman, aged 19, a University iof South Florida student, married Bernard Ryan, aged 23, also of Florida, and sailed off in a balloon gondola. Explained the father of the bride: "One day I was driving down the expressway and I saw a balloon soaring, and it was very beautiful, and I just thought . . . -
