Steel Heart works well

Steel Heart seemed to have trained on well since his attractive success at the Napier Park meeting last week when, he worked in good style over SOOni at Awapuni I in preparation for the Plunket Nursery at Trent ham on Saturday. Working on the course proper Steel Heart ran 800 m in 50.4 sec, the last 600 in 37sec. He was full of running at the finish of the gallop Stylish Sovereign and Tic Toe completed 800 m in 51sec, the last 600 in 48sec. They are rival candidates for the Pukeora Handicap at Waipukurau. Stylish Sovereign in particular looks close to some worth while form.

Massam and Roman Sun ran from the 800 m in sl.4sec, the final 600 in 38.4 sec. Roman Sun looked unlucky at Napier Park last week. He could shine in the Wanstead Maiden at Waipukurau. Terminal Chief is back to his best and must appeal in the Champion Handicap at Trentham. On the plough Ayub Khan covered 1000 m in Imin ssec, the last 600 in 39sec.
