VAUTIER, Manager. 2 7723 AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER RAISING RURAL HOUSING LOAN 1976 $40,000 NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Amuri County Council held on March 5, 1976, the following resolution was passed and w’ill be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be held on Friday, the 2nd day of April, 1976, at 1.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Culverden. RESOLUTION “That in pursuance and 1n exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1956, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and Amendments thereto and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Amuri County Council doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to borrow from the Housing Corporation of New Zealand, the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000) by a loan to be known as the Rural Housing Loan 1976 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, subject to the following determinations: 1. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 20 years. 2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or so much thereof as is for the time being raised and not repaid, shall be five per cent per annum payably half-yearly, the first such payment to be made not later than six months after the date of the payment of the first instalment of the loan by the Corporation to the said Council, such interest to be computed on the daily debtor balances in the accounts of the Corporation. 3. The Council shall pay to the Corporation each halfyear in reduction of the principal moneys advaced b.v the Corporation to the Council an amount equal to the sum of all the amounts of principal which are expressed to be payable to the Council during that half-year under the agreements entered into by the said Council with the various farmers to whom the said Council has advanced any of the loan moneys, together with any additional principal which may be paid by such farmers. 4. No amount payable by the Council in respect of principal or interest owing to the Corporation shall bp paid out of loan moneys.

5. No amount shall be payable for brokerage, underwriting or placement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof.

6. Such other conditions that may be stipulated by the Mortgage Loans Committee of the Housing Corporation of New Zealand. 7. The security for the loan shall be a special rate of decimal zero one four four cents (0.0144 cents) in the dollar on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the County of Amuri. NOTE: The repayment of the above loan is not intended to be a charge on County rates but will be secured by first mortgages over the properties on which advances are made. A copy of this Special Order is deposited at the Office of the Amuri County Council. Culverden, and is open to the inspection of the public during ordinary office hours until the 2nd day of April, 1976. Pursuant to the provisions of the Loral Authorities Loans Act 1956, it is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if not less than 5 per cent of the ratepayers whose names are on the Ratepayers Roll of the County so demand by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned and received in the County Office not later than 9 a.m. on Friday, 2nd day of April, 1976. being the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution.
