Members of the North' 'Canterbury Hospital Board and the Otago Hospitals I Board met in Dunedin on! , Tuesday to discuss the effect: * that the establishment of an! i open-heart surgical unit in i I Christchurch would have on) •the heart unit in Dunedin. ( The chairman of the North ' Canterbury Hospital Board | (Mr T. C. Grigg) said that! the discussion between the) two boards was necessary as* the Otago board feared that! a cardiac unit in Christchurch might affect them ■ adversely. “We had useful dis-! missions. but there was no undertaking to alter the stand by either board.” said Mr Grigg.
