Sound gear taken from Eden Park

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 11. Thieves broke into Eden Park on Saturday night and stole sound equipment worth about $3OOO, including most of the public address system. They took an amplifier from the main stand and a record player and other equipment from a caravan parked in the grounds.

Detectives believe the thieves climbed a wall to get into the park. Saturday’s gate-takings of about $5OO had earlier been removed by a security firm.
