National club golf event
Waitikiri will host the Canterbury regional final of the Peter Stuyvesant national club golf championship on February 21. The championship will be played by teams of four from each club — it is open to every registered club in New Zealand — and the teams will comprise the senior, intermediate, and junior club champions and the intermediate runner-up. The final of the event will be at the Hutt Golf Club, Wellington, on May 8 and 9. The regional finals will be played before that date to find the 16 clubs which will
